Daily Routine Components Tipi: 5 minute call at 7:30 am
• Sleeping bags stuffed • Mats rolled • Duffel bags rolled up to the outside of the teepee, then mat, then sleeping bag. • Dressed appropriately. • Teepee and stairs swept (by one person) • Students must all be wearing appropriate clothing for the day
Check in circles are held in the morning on the tipi deck and before each meal outside the mess tent
• Tight and round circles formed
Mess Tent Rules and Boundaries
• Wash hands, fill water bottles and check in before meals. • No entering or leaving the mess tent or kitchen without staff permission – • Plumb and square hats, fleece, and raingear on rear pegs after entering mess tent. • Journals are kept in cubby holes. • Be courteous during serving • Students are not allowed to touch the wood stove. • If a staff is present at the table, students can talk appropriately. • Wait until thanks have been given before eating and wait until each table is called before entering serving line. • To get seconds, firsts must be finished and no eating in line. • Once "stack and scrap" (cleaning plates that involves scraping plates and putting in the bin, wiping the table, and sweeping the floor) is called wait until you are called to get up from the table. • Water must be finished.
