At our wilderness program, things are viewed from a circular perception. For example, if you are alone on a mountain top, one person might feel alone and afraid, and another might feel excited and empowered. The mountaintop is the same, but it is the perspective of the people that is different. We believe that each person’s perception holds value and that there is not “right” or “wrong”, “bad” or “good”, just different ways of seeing things (behaviors, feelings, issues, ideas). We are a simple environment without a lot of distractions so that we can all be focused, like being on the mountain top or focusing on an object or an issue in our circles. How you react to work chores, lines, and circles is a mirror of who you are. Your reactions reflect who you are.
